Welcome to MOTHER’S NEST.
A women’s circle for you and your baby. A safe place for mothers to connect with others who are exactly in the same page as you and create an opportunity for “village building”.
In traditional cultures, the “village” plays a key role on a new family’s life. The mother is cared for through practical and emotional support from close relatives, who are around during weeks or months after she gives birth. She has time and space to heal her body, connect with her baby, learn how to breastfeed, learn how to care for her child and get acquainted with her new self. Unfortunately in our modern society, new mothers are going through this huge transition alone and with a belief that she should know what to do, which results in her feeling lonely, isolated, frustrated, overwhelmed. Newborn mothers are not only adjusting to motherhood, they are doing it sleep deprived and fatigued; this time of massive transition can be a vulnerable time as women tend to give all the attention to the newborn baby, in detriment to their own health and well being. This can hugely affect a woman’s self esteem and undermine her bonding with her baby.
